Let’s enjoy a very nice drive from Mesa via AZ-87, AZ-188 and US-60 to Roosevelt Lake/Globe/Superior.
The event starts at the Bass Pro Shops parking lot in Mesa. From there we’ll take an exciting mountain drive on north AZ-87 toward Payson. turning right on AZ-188 toward Globe, following the shore of Roosevelt Lake to Roosevelt Dam. After a photo op, we’ll continue to Globe, then pick up US-60 across the New Pinto Creek Bridge and past the “Top of the World” marker (elevation 4532 ft), on our way to Superior for lunch at the Silver King Smokehouse & Saloon.
The Silver King Smokehouse offers outdoor seating and an extensive menu of BBQ and other items we have enjoyed on previous club drives.
You will order off the menu and pay your own bill at the restaurant. After lunch everyone will return home on their own.
