Join us for our first official driving event of 2026! This is an exciting drive with breathtaking scenery.
Below is an overview of the planned route after the drivers meeting concludes. All times are estimations based on driving styles and conditions.This is a casual drive that welcomes all drivers.
The fun starts on the 421 "The Snake" with an optional stop at the Shady Valley Country Store, along with 2 other fuel stops.
Lunch & Distillery Stops 11:30am-1:30pm

(Group can visit the distillery and get lunch at their leisure)
Regroup at the fuel stop (1:30pm) and then depart.
Point of Interest Stop:
Dragonslayer Welcome Center and Gift Shop, 7 E Main St, Lynch, KY 40855
Anyone who needs to head back early is encouraged to depart from here. This will allow them to do the Dragon Slayer 160 with the group and then split off when their GPS routing them home (at this point, completing 160 is the main route to go home).
From here we drive the Dragon Slayer 160, VA/TN 70, TN 66, and TN 31 with 1 Pit Stop
End event/final pit stop at 5:30pm:

After the final stop it is roughly a 2.5-3 hour drive back to the greater Charlotte area.
The VA/TN 70, TN 66, and TN 31 are too much fun to pass up!
Even though this is a day-long run, participants can join or leave at any of the stops mentioned above depending on their schedules. The Chapter Lead will share his contact information at the drivers meeting and will be available during the drive to get time-related info to coordinate and to discuss any meetups not at the start.
Event start time is from 6am-6:30am at the Newton Food Mart, the driver's meeting will be at 6:20am giving us 10 minutes to cover everything before tentatively leaving at 6:30am.
